Cheap and London do not belong in the same sentence.
In the London burbs you might wanna try places like Premier Travelodge, Travelinn they are slightly cheaper but it really depends on the area.

I'm not sure if they're still cheap but when I first came to London years ago I stayed at the Regent Palace Hotel in Piccadilly. It's a 2 star but the location is fantastic! ie: it's right on Piccadilly circus so if you're coming to London for shopping and sightseeing then it's perfect. Some of the rooms have just a basin in them and then you share facilities, but hey - if you're trying to save money who cares about sharing a bathroom eh?
Worth a try anyway and you would save on time and transport costs every day. I'd call the hotel direct and see what they have. ph 0870 4008703

You can find cheaper hotels in London, if it's not in the heart of the city. It might be a bit further out, but public transport is easily accessible. I recommend you check out www.excelloz.com for prices of various hotels. There are nice three star hotels not too far from the city so you might find a hotel that is more expensive, but you'll save on transportation costs. It'll give you an overall idea of London hotels, whether you book it or not.

Assuming you're speaking approximately £one hundred in keeping with day, and you pick a critical London region, there's a small walk-up inn next to the Charing bypass prepare station it somewhat is £ninety 8 in keeping with day for a double room and private bathtub. there is particularly few places for that value interior the summertime (interior the middle). The seven dials inn is £85 a nighttime. The Fielding inn has a twin for £a hundred and five. bear in ideas that those are very tiny inns. ------------------- much less centrally located, in Bloomsbury are greater thoughts. Imperial inns is a determination of six low fee inns. The very maximum inexpensive is the County at £40 two in keeping with nighttime with one bathing room for each 4 bedrooms. ------------------- Dumil Backpackers inn is approximately £one hundred forty for a double room for a week. i don't think of there exists a greater fee-effective place the place you does not be risking your life.

Try www.hostelworld.com for some good deals and reviews. If you are a student and have a valid student email address, I would recommend using www.studentuniverse.com. It has great deals and discounts not only on rooms, but also rail and airline tickets.
