You must have a setting on your Norton which doesn't allow your Internet to gain access. Go on your Norton thing and mak sure that it allows you to gain Internet access.
If it still doesn't work, there's something wrong.

I got rid of Norton. They dont trust anything. Everything works fine now.

because Norton Antivirus sucks, it doesn't recognize the new version of internet explorer, and may think it is a virus. get trendmicro antivirus. much better

go to your norton security centre click on personal firewall go to configure firewall their will b sum tabs at the top click on programs 1 should b internet explorer... allow the program coz ur firewall is probably blocked it

I had to uninstall this security as it slowed down my high speed internet to a dial up . I dont know about your problem though

Not sure why but I have been experiencing the same thing. I just had to reload all my broadband stuff the lot.very time consuming and annoying. Hope you get the right answer to your question.

microsoft wants you to use their antivirus: Microsoft Live OneCare, free 90 day trial @ microsoft.com. It works for me, system gets much faster than with norton installed. And no, I don't work for microsoft. It's just my opinion.

Because IE7 is full of bugs, Microsoft rushed it out because Mozilla where releasing Firefox 2
