In A Philosphical Inquiry into the Sublime and the Beautiful by Edmund Burke, he states that God is sublime not beautiful. He lays out the characteristics of beauty and explains sublime. For those who read this.,....is he right saying God is not beautiful, but sublime? I have some idea on this but I want to see other opinions.

I think that the two are not mutually exclusive.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Thus, being a subjective attribute I see no reason why one cannot (or, for that matter, would not) consider the sublime nature of the Divine as beautiful in itself.
