I am 37 and have a testosterone level of 349. Does anyone else have similar circumstances? Did you start replacement therapy? if so, what kind?

I don't recall the normal range for the age of 37 but I do believe that 349 is near the lower range. Lets discuss the clinical issues. Do you show signs of a low testosterone. If not then I would suggest you not take anything like Angdro Gel. Andro Gel is easy to use - just rub it on your shoulder daily.

I tend to think since you had your testosterone measured that you are showing some sort of symptoms that may relate to a low testosterone. Lets rule out other issues - Diabetes - Hypertension and Dementia. If your fasting blood glucose is high then do we have an early on set of adult diabetes type 11. If so lets treat that and see if you symptoms go away. I am sure you have had your blood pressure checked but lets say you haven't and it is 140 over 90 right on the edge of hypertension - can we treat that and will your other medical problems go away.

Lets look at both the sexual and mental issues for testosterone.
If you find that your sexual desires are less than when you were younger - at the age of 37 that is normal but you should be having a least weekly 2 or 3 orgasms or the ability to have that many orgasms - If you have lost interest in sex and are not having much success with masturbation or with your partner then testosterone and or Viagra and Sudef make a lot of sense. Sudef will help you have an orgasm and Viagra will help you maintain an erection and the testosterone will help you function sexually.

Lets now look at your mental agility. If you find that you are showing signs of dementia (I am not kidding) or that you are forgetting things much more than usual and your stress in life has not changed recently then you need to start testosterone replacement therapy and have both testosterone - free and bound measured before and after you start your testosterone.

My testosterone level is just about where yours is and my age is 62 so I am in the low normal range. I have no diabetes or hypertension but my sex drive and my short term memory seemed to decline about 2 years ago. I went through tons of tests and many other drugs and finally requested testosterone replacement. - Works wonders both on the sexual drive and the short term memory loss.

Interestingly enough my testosterone level only went up slightly and tomorrow we measure the Free testosterone.

The only thing you may have to worry about is cancer of the prostate - does it run in your family. If it doesn't then we have reduced your risk factor. Now I am sure you dislike having your prostate examined as much as I dislike it but you should set up with your family physician if you start taking testosterone a prostate exam on a quarterly basis. I do and don't like it but it makes clinical horse sense. You need to be aware of the risks.

I am very happy with the Andro Gel and I have learned how to use it according to my life style. My sexual life has improved and I use eveything I discussed above and my short term memory is outstanding.

Good luck and I hope I have helped you - I had to find this path on my own and fight all sorts of battle to get where I am today.

Your post caught my eye as I believe my 29 year old boyfriend might be suffering from low testosterone but I can't get him to see a doc about it.

I just had to mention that the posting given by nicealbanyguy was great. It's nice when someone looks at all aspects. His answer was very informative.

I would always seek testosterone supplements first. Shots are an option but I would use them more of a last resort, since the shots will actually decrease your natural production of testosterone.
