It is a matter of economics. Oprah has a viewership of about a billion people. If you had a product you wanted to get great exposure for (i.e. Yahoo Answers) and a good marketing team you would arrange for her to use your product and plug it during the broadcast. Check out her question about "what would you do with $1000 dollars" as it was used in conjunction with one of her shows.
Don't kid yourself - there is no such thing as free advertising and i wouldn't be surprised at all if Yahoo paid her to promote the site.

you get a lap top and you get a laptop and you get a laptop. I doubt if Oprah even logs on here it's a gimmick like all of the gimmicks out there I answered the question just cause it was fun to imagine being able to kick down a grand to someone, but if you saw her episode of her and Gail at the gas pump you gotta wonder she couldn't figure that out could you imagine her actually getting online?

I dont imagine Oprah W has to promote on yahoo solutions , heavily do you imagine thats the objective of her question to get a number of the cyber junkies to song in, get over your self.
