and while we are having a discussion, I hear a woman walk by him and say,"You the man." He responds to her,"You the woman." Then he tried to lie and tell me that he said "you the woman" to me, when he clearly was speaking to the woman who walked by. What should I do? Legally married for 6 yrs, 1 child together.

Well, he is definitely being flirtatious...but remember...men can say alot at work and well they are a bit more loose then when they are not around the Mrs., this does not mean that he is cheating on you. I suggest having lunch with him once in a while and seeing for yourself what the environment is like...if you are in doubt. If you trust him then leave it alone. It might be a co-worker he kids around with alot at work. She might be 300 lbs and have no teeth for all you know. Dont go crazy about this unless you really have reason to believe that he is cheating and well you are a smart woman...you should know the signs.

Well he probley is going to lie and tell you that he was talking to you so you wont get mad.. wow for six years thats a long time... guys are such liers and some women are just bitches too... if you have doubts about him then tell him.. but if its just this that bothers you then just let it slip away... if he really loves you he will listen to you and try to work things out for you and the child you both have... he's an adult and he should act like one.. lieing is not a good way to show that he loves you.. because then one little lie could turn into a really big lie... i hope everything gets better for you...try not to think about all those things he does to make you mad and keep busy to destract yourself from think negitive about things you don't want to drive yourself insane...

I would not jump the gun yet. You should be very quiet about it and not let him know you suspect something. If he gets wind you suspect something you will never find anything. Take a step back and then plan what you are going to do. It may just be harmless fun at work. Here at my work we joke around all the time and it is harmless. But if you do have that gut feeling, dont let him know and snoop with out being caught....

work mates talk to each other in certain ways that married mates may not understand. Is it worth making a big deal out of it? I don't think so if that's all you have. Let it go and don't call him at work anymore . If a guy walked by and said "you the man" to him, would that make him gay?

It sounds like a friendly remark. It is something that could be said in many office around the World. I would not think to much of it...however, he should have not lied to you. This is not something that you should make hasty decisions about. If there are trust issues in your relationship then you need to talk these out.

I See nothing wrong there people that work together tend to be friendly so what they are together a lot so you think they should not talk. Why are you calling him at work u don't trust him, then maybe u should not be with him, my guess is you would not trust any man u are with, that is not good u are very insecure..

Sounds like he is having an affair to me with the lady at work. The woman sounds like she wants to push it in your face and your husband is making a fool out of you by answering her then making it out you didnt hear properly. You can say to him yes you are indeed the man,,now I am kicking this man to the curb along with the woman...:-) get rid of him now.

THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS IF YOUR FEELING SOMETHING IN YOUR GUT TELLING YOU SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT WITH YOUR HUBBY AT WORK WITH THIS WOMAN I WOULD PROBABLY LISTEN TO IT. ALSO IF YOU FEEL HE'S HAVING AN AFFAIR HERE ARE THE SIGNS: LEAVES HOME MORE OFTEN, DISTANT, DOESN'T TELL YOU HE LOVES YOU AS MUCH AS HE USED TO AND I GUESS THE BIGGEST IS YOUR SEX LIFE IS NIL. IF YOU FIND THEY ARE JUST JOKING AROUND LET IT GO BUT MAKE SURE ITS ALL IN FUN. BUT I DON'T THINK IT IS IF HE'S LYING WHEN YOU CONFRONT HIM ON THE PHONE. GOOD LUCK.

You are in big trouble if you need to come here and ask a question like this. Do you have reason to distrust him? Has he stepped out before? Is this the only thing you suspect him of doing? It may be totally harmless, be blunt and honest and make him talk to you about it.
