I heard so many females say that when they got pregnant after getting off the depo shot, they miscarried. Does anyone know how common that is and if it can be avoided?

I plan on getting pregnant in a year or two and got my last injection 01 Nov 06. I just wanted to know if I should wait a certain amount of time.

Thanks in advance for the comments.

getting pregnant after depo commonly takes up to 18 months. Come off it now. It took me just over 18 months i had been on it for 4 years and i did not even have a proper period for a year or ovulate for 15 months. Come off now please. Bet the doctor who put you on it was a man!

You should wati at least 3 months after stopping birth control. Took me 18 months after the depo shot...the shot had stopped my body from ovulating...I had to take clomid to get pregnant
