I agree with Joey. Also, it's not isolated to India. People move from the country into the city all over the world and this trend has happened since the dawn of the modern society. But, to answer the question, there are always more opportunities for jobs in a city. When living in the country, options are limited to farming and.....well, farming.

Because theirs a huge economic disparity and difference in standard of living.also the infrastructure is is poor in the rural areas. Its also the western influence that cities are better
