Yes, your stepsister is off limits.
When (if) you are both adults, as tasteless as people may find it, you MAY, depending upon the laws in your state or country, be able to have a romantic relationship.
The reason it is at the very least tasteless to most people is that they see you as having lived as brother and sister.
In at least some states, the law recognizes relationships between stepfamily members as incest, though it is not absolute.
(FOR THOSE WHO THINK THAT IS CRAZY REMEMBER THIS: SOME BECOME STEPSIBLINGS AFTER THEY THEMSELVES ARE MARRIED. THE UNMARRIED PARENTS OF A COUPLE MAY END UP IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP AND MARRY. THIS MAKES THE MARRIED COUPLE STEPBROTHER AND STEPSISTER.)
