I am at a loss. I have been trying to locate the name and address of a family members business that exsisted in Baltimore, Maryland in and around 1880 - 1905. I know who owned it but I can't seem to find the name of it or where it was located. Can someone point me in the right direction to look for this.

An option you could try is to contact a Baltimore area libraries and ask if they have any "city directories" or "business directories" that date from that time. It looks like the Baltimore County Public Library has a few sources that might help you, like-

Woods' Baltimore city directory : containing a correct, engraved map of the city, a business directory, a street directory ... 1881.
Call number:
Md Ref 917.526 W 1881
Pub. Info:
Baltimore : Printed and published by John W. Woods, [1881?]

and...

Baltimore city guide and street directory for 1890.
Other Title:
Baltimore street directory 1890
Call number:
Md Ref 917.526 B
Pub. Info:
Baltimore, Md. : The Guide Publishing Co. 1890

or...

Boyd's business directory of the State of Maryland, 1875 : containing a complete list of post offices and post masters in the state, together with an alphabetical list of all business firms in the cities of Baltimore, Annapolis, Cumberland, Frederick and Hagerstown.
Call number:
Md Ref 917.526 B
Pub. Info:
Washington, D.C. : Wm. H. Boyd, 1875

The above sources are in various librayr branches, so it may take some time for a librarian to look through them. Just look at the page at http://www.bcpl.info/libpg/lib_askaquestion.html for all the options that you can use to ask them your question. Good luck!

There are some directories here at http://www.cyndislist.com/citydir.htm#Locality, but they are often edited and incomplete.
