You really shouldn't be scared of going to your doctor. You really need to get it checked out. It could just be a lump of hard fat but to be on the safe side, please go to the doctor, that's what doctors are there for, they are strictly professional and will not think anything of the size of your boobs, i promise on my life.

Your doctor does not care how small your breasts are. He's seen them all. Even men can have breast lumps, so it doesn't matter how small they are. At eighteen, the most likely cause is fibrocystic disease, especially since your Mom has a history of lumpy breasts. But you need the doctor to check this out. Go tell your Mom right now. Meantime, avoid caffeine in soda, tea, coffee and chocolate. The lumps get larger and more painful with caffeine use. Best wishes.

I am 27 and have a small lump in my left breast. It's been there for 3 years and it's nothing, a 'prominent fat lobule'. I had an ultra sound and a mammogram to check it out. You need to get your lump checked, it's most likely nothing, but you need to know for sure.

Don't be embarrassed, I guarantee you your doctor cares about the health of you breasts more than the size!

sweetie sometimes you have to just suck it up and be embarrassed, this isn't something that you should not get checked out because your embarrassed. remember the doctor is a professional and is not likely to care what size your breasts are. keep in mind he sees them all the time, the novelty has worn off for him. a lump especially a hard one is not something to mess with. while ther is a good chance that it is nothing, given your age and family history. i can't stress enough to you the importance of getting it checked out. keep in mind if you don't have it looked at it'll always be in the back of you mind. you won't be able to forget about it just because someone here says it's "normal." i don't want to scare you but the fact that it's a hard lump could be bad. muscle would likely be soft. i hope everything works out for you. good luck.

You probably do not have cancer. Young women usually get cysts or firbroadnomas which are benign breast tumors.

My nineteen year old had one and it was removed with no problems and she didn't want to show it to anyone either... kids.

I don't think doctor will be mortified by the sight of your small breast. He would much rather seen healthy small breast instead of implants.

So, show it to your mom she will take you to a doctor and he will order an ultrasound.

just because they are small does not mean they are immune to lumps/cancer! Go get it checked out. Chances are it is nothing, but you need to be sure, just in case! Especially if your mom has a history of this. Don't be ashamed of your small boobs!!! Smaller is cuter =0) and dr.s aren't going to look at you sexually, all they will see are breasts...not 'small boobs'.

I work for a surgeon. GO GET IT CHECKED. Early detection is the key!! You may have fibrocystic breasts. That is common. But wouldnt you feel better knowing?. Dont wait. I have seen many women who have waited and there is not one who has not regreted it. You doctor could care less what size your breasts are!!!

You have to go to the doctor, just to be on the safe side. It's very possible it's nothing at all, but it's your body===very IMPORTANT!!!
