i'm from Europe but I want to hear ab. the worst case scenario; like ending up being homeless. If you do your job in the US properly (even if you don't have a college degree for ex) what are the chances you'll end up without the roof over your head

thanx; and I'm not kidding, this is what I really want to know

A lot of Americans over spend and that gets them into trouble using the credit card. If you are extremely careful with your finances, don't over indulge on having a good time, i.e., go out to dinner and theater or movie all the time, or drinking at clubs, you should be all right. This is not to say you can't have a good time once in a while, but as Americans, we tend to want that quick fix all the time to satisfy our needs, and that is where we get into trouble. You should be fine as long as you have a job. People that have jobs are not homeless; it is the ones that don't that are.

if you were living pay check to pay check, there's a good chance you will be homeless. many do have a roof over there heads becuase of homeless shelters, but some places don't have those or lack funding to hold many people (I've known people who get recommendations just to stay in a shelter). Some would also rather live on the street because some people in the shelters are schizophrenics who don't take there medicne/aren't diagonosed and can be dangerous or criminals.
most shelters seperate men from women, th eproblem there is children normally go with women so a single father who is homeless may run into some trouble

but it is very possible to become homeless. some people will ignore eviction notices until the police are called by the landlord to remove them- others just leave once they can't pay

Those who are homeless CHOOSE to be.

No one in the U.S.A. has to be homeless for social services will set you up with the minimum to live on which includes shelter.

You hear of homeless people because that is what the media wants you to hear. The U.S.A. is all about choices... YOU choose exactly where you want to be in life.

YOU CAN work for minimum wage ans still have a nice retirement though many will disagree. They fail to see where they are spending all their money. It is not how much you make but how much YOU KEEP ! So simple but yet some are still so uneducated to understand it! How sad.

It's no about jobs, it's about the poor health care system, or lack thereof. Many homeless people are too ill, either physically or emotionally or mentally or spiritually and the U.S. does not take care of their own-instead they spend billions bombing other countries because oil takes precedence over the well-being of their people.

The chances are zero. If you have a job you just need to budget yourself depending on your income. If you don't make much money, look for low rent apartments or take in a roomate.
