I like it ~ within very strict boundaries and guidelines.
I'll get back to this in a short moment...
Lust is any intense desire or craving, usually sexual, although it is also common to speak of a "lust for life", "lust for blood (bloodlust for short)", or a "lust for power" or other goals.
As a sexual term, lust implies a sexual desire in and of itself, an erotic arousal and wish, or intense physical or sexual attraction or craving. In this sense, it is considered a sin by some Christian sects in regard to someone not one's spouse, and is listed as one of the seven deadly sins of Catholicism and its related denominations. Kama, a concept in Hinduism often translated as lust, is similarly included as one of the Five Evils. The Greek word which translates as lust is επιθυμια (epithumia), which also is translated as covet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lust
“Ambition is a lust that is never quenched, but grows more inflamed and madder by enjoyment.”
“Of all the worldly passions, lust is the most intense. All other worldly passions seem to follow in its train.”
“The more we are filled with thoughts of lust the less we find true romantic love.”
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

It comes down to control. If you find yourself masturbating on a daily basis, watching porn constantly and or the magazines, you're going to run into a serious problem. Not only with yourself but to your family and any intimate relationship that you may inquire. There is nothing wrong with erotica, but there is a limit. I am not one to judge lifestyles but a balance is needed. It's called addiction and has nothing to do with sex and that is the definition of lust. I know- I've been there and fought for 9 years. This isn't really an answer but just my experiences- take them any which way you choose and I thank you for reading.

If you thik of it as thurst or hunger it makes a lot more sence. If you are thursty, would you deny it? Well, no point in denying it. On the other hand, if you are thursty, would you drink from a dirty puddle? No, at least, I wouldn't. I'd wait till I get to a clean water source. It is not quite as simple, of course, because it is known that a human being can live wit hout water for 3 days and not more. Noone established anything like that about lust. You can suppress it if you want, but who knows what happes to your brain chemistry when you supress it for too long, and how long is too long.

Its an emotion. And there is no good or bad in emotions. It what makes us human. The problem of it all is "controling it".
How do you control it?..... Experience. Know it, then conquer it.
Do you feel good when you are angry? Most of us don't like being angry,....but you release the stress by beeing angry and,....with much time and experience, you know how to control your anger and become a better person.

Lust is what you make of it; ask any good poet. Possibilities for lust include everything from cruelty, through vulgarity, including mundanity, up to sublimity.

interestingly, I just realised that LUST is an anagram of s.l.ut. The two sort of go hand in hand (or whatever....)
