The car is produced in about one week. But if you order one you are looking at best 6-8 wks, depending on where the dealer is with their allocation.

First the car goes into an order bank waiting for a build week, approx. 1-2 weeks.
Waiting to get on the assembly line: approx: 1 wk.
Build: 1 week
On the water: 2 wks
In America at the port waiting to be shipped: approx 1 wk

Waiting for the scheduled build week is the big one. If a dealer has a car already scheduled for a close upcoming week they can just modify the order and that cuts your order to 6 weeks, if not it's 8 weeks. The 335i is a hot car so you'll have to ask when they have their next available allocation.

Most plants roll a car from start to finish in about a week. Stamping and Body assembly add another.
