If you are calm, they will go in easy, but if you are nervous when you go to insert them, it will be really uncomfortable. Also make sure there is "moisture" of some sort, and you will hardly notice it in ya! Good luck, we have all been there, hon!

I too prefer pads but once you begin wearing tampons you don't even feel them anymore. Provided you use the right absorbency. If you are having a light day and use a heavy flow tampon prepare to be uncomfortable. If you do the reverse prepare for stained clothing. That's way I mainly just stay with the pads.

I like them much better then pads, just make sure you follow the directions, the only thing that should be hanging out is the string, anything else would be very uncomfortable, oh make sure you get the kind with an applicator

You feel a little uncomfortable the first few times, and it might hurt a little. At first it feels like a balloon in your [ummm] and it kind of "inflates". When you take it out, you should pull gently and if it hurts then try to pee on it [gross i know!] It takes a few tries. Use the smallest absorbency! Good luck!

If you use them correctly then you don't even notice them. They are sooooo much better than wearing a pad (aka diaper).

You can't feel it if you put it in correctly. Go to www.beinggirl.com. They have readable instructions and a short video.
