They aren't gonna get the first pick, not even a top ten pick, they have too good of a record, but i think the first wr to go will be johnson

First off, the Vikings will not be picking first. They are currently 5-6 which is far from the NFL's worst record. Expect them to pick between 6th and 13th. Calvin Johnson will likely be gone by then.

They may decide to pick the best player available, a strategy teams are increasingly using. However, I would say you're right in thinking they will likely use their first round pick on a skill position player.

Dwayne Jarrett, WR from USC is an option. I can't see them going after Ginn since they already have a small and speedy wideout in Williamson. I could see them waiting until later in the draft on a WR if Jarrett is gone.

Adrian Peterson would be an upgrade at RB, but probably won't last that long unless injury fears drop him. Marshawn Lynch from Cal and Kenny Irons from Auburn will be available at RB.

QB is another possibility. Brad Johnson's wheels are bound to fall off someday. Brian Brohm could still be available. Drew Stanton could be considered in the first round depending on how he does in workouts. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings try to get a QB in the second or third rounds though.

Just some thoughts from an armchair GM.
