When you trust him and have no fear of him leaving you for someone else.
When the puts you ahead of everyone and everything else, including himself.
When he treats you as a precious thing.
When he allows you to make mistakes and never ever raises his voice or berates you.
When he allows you to be yourself, dress as you wish, go where you wish and does not try to control you.
When he does the things that you would do just so you don't have to, like housekeeping - and then expects no praise for doing so.
When he calls for no real reason.
When he holds you tightly and tells you that he loves you while looking in your eyes.
When he looks for your body next to his while asleep.
When he always holds your hand, opens doors for you and carries you when you're tired.
When he looks after your health and knows your body as well as you do. He makes sure that you get enough sleep and eat well and take your vitamins, etc...
You know he loves you because you are at peace and there are no feelings of "what if he..."
You don't have to get married. You are happy just to be with him and he with you. You two know what you have and that it won't go away - ever, whether you get married this year or never.
