Ray Lewis by far if you take a look at both players yearly stats Urlacher has not put up any numbers near Rays stats

Ray Lewis. Urlacher is amazing but lewis has done it a lot longer and was the unquestioned leader of a SuperBowl team that won purely on its defensive abilities. Certainly in 7 or 8 years if Urlacher continues at the same level then the debate over who was better may be a different story. Time is the only way we will know for sure the legacy of Brian Urlacher, Ray Lewis has nearly completed his and his ticket to the Hall of Fame is already punched.

Urlacher is a better player, but if I had a team, I'd want Lewis just because of his leadership capabilities. Ray Lewis makes the people AROUND him play great which is awesome. Look at what happens to guys who leave the Ravens D and go to another team. They fade into obscurity, but with Ray as their captain, they make it to the Pro Bowl. Ray Lewis.

If both stopped playing right now, Lewis is the sure in to the hall and Urlacher would be on the bubble. But if they both finish their carrers out, Urlacher will prove to be much better than Lewis, and most likely prove to be one of the top 5 linebackers of all time

Urlacher by Landslide when he will be done playing the game. for Now its R. L only because of Ray's past and his popularity in the NFL. I still think Urlacher is better right now than R.L based on this season

Urlacher is a better LB today.Now overall,I think Ray Lewis at his best is better than Urlacher at his best.Tough comparison though.

Would have to take Urlacher over Ray "The Murderer" Lewis.......Urlacher is the man and only lacks a "ring" that the "Murderer Coverupper" has....Urlacher hands down

Just between the two of them Urlacher now, Lewis is going into the twilight of his career but still can hurt you. Overall the best Linebacker ever was and still is Dick Butkus.
