I found out about an audition for this that is happening tonight and tomorrow. I just prepared for a different audition and used "I enjoy being a girl" from Flower drum song. This is not really at all the style for Godspell but I don't have anything folky in sheet music. Do you think singing the song I already have prepared would be ok? If not, does anyone know of a site where you can buy and print off sheet music (1 song at a time style) and some simple song I could prepare quickly?

Do NOT listen to the people telling you to use a song from Godspell. Directors hate that and will not cast you.

Since it is this close to the audition, I would go with what you know and use "Enjoy." It is best to have a polished audition piece that doesn't quite fit than an unpolished one that does. However, it wouldn't hurt to go to your local library soon and check out some songbooks to get a variety of potential audition pieces for the future.

I always try to sing a song from the show I'm auditioning for. Some people disagree with that theory, but I think it shows the director that you're familiar with the show and you've taken the time to learn the music. I was in Godspell five years ago and sang the song "By my Side", so that might be a song that would work for you too.

This site has "Day by Day" and it's only 5 bucks. I have used them before. http://search.musicnotes.com/?q=godspell&u1=q&show=godspell&u2=show
