Virtually any computer can play Starcraft. Windows, Mac, it's all good. Have a decent amount of RAM, and try not to run too many apps in the backgruond if your computer isn't capable of doing that much.

The main problem when it comes to compatibility with starcraft is network issues. If you are connecting to the internet via a LAN, you'll want to make sure that your router is compatible. Almsot all are, but you'llh ave to configure it to allow info thru certain ports that are required for Starcraft to be functional when playing ONline (which you should definitely do, it's much more fun then the campaigns).

So best of luck to you ! Starcraft is without a doubt the best RTS to ever have been made.

Pretty much anything. It's an old game, so the system requirement are pretty low:

Windows 95 or better,
90 MHz Pentium,
16 MB RAM,
DirectX-compatible,
2x CD-ROM drive,
640x480 8-bit display.
