USELESS QUESTION

2006-12-01 02:49:55 · answer #1 · answered by RAMAN IOBIAN 7 · 1 0

While I cannot talk from experience.... I have to say it depends on the country and the cultural identity of the Islamic families there. In the more arab-styled muslims, dating is out of the question, a bride is usually preselected or negotiated. One does not have freedom of choice. However, not all Muslims are like that.... religion does not have to dictate your cultural identity and some can date.

Still.... most Islamic parents are very protective of their daughters, so winning the family trust would be an important aspect for a prospective suitor... but remember they are looking for marriage and that may be the only reason you might be allowed to date a particular girl.

Muslim girls are not dolls or a toy u can engage her from her family and u can know each other in the presence of her parents or going out in public with one of her parents or brother or sister then if u like her u can marry her ... this is Islam and the tradition of our society we dont throw our girls to any stranger to take them ... girls are the honor of man
there is something left we cant let any nonmuslim marry our girls because all of them dont believe in Islam or in his prophet so he will insist and abuse her but we believe that Jews and Christians and Muslims have one god and the holy books resource is one so itis forbidden to us to insist Christians or Jews to be Muslims ..so Muslim men can marry christian or Jewish girls.....u can pm me if u need more info

That kind of makes no sense. say in a country, where it is predominantly muslim, it doesnt make sense to let the only the girls not date, because the guys would still have no one. But if u guys cant date...then u cant date, lol.

Dating as in the west, no that is not allowed. And that goes for men and women. They can spend time together and get to know each other but not alone.

If a man is interested in a girl he can go to her family and set up a meeting. Then he can get to know her and they can both decide it they want to get engaged. Then during the engagement they can get to know each other before marriage.

It is usually best if you and her are of the same religious sect or faith, and you and her meet through friends or family. It is better to be recommended by someone than to approach her directly. The Muslims place a lot of importance on their faith and tend to shun even family members who marry or associate out of it. This is not uncommon, even with the other religions out there.
