My AVG free edition will not update today. Anybody else having problems?

I'm having the same trouble. A lot of people in avg's forum are reporting the same thing...my guess is their site is down.
**Update**
Avg is now working once again I just downloaded my latest updates.
avg 7.5 will still be free after January. The only thing that avg has done is to upgrade their free anti-virus to the same level as the paid....avg 7.1 is the one that is expiring.

this problem can occur when 1)your connection settings have been altered in the settings in avg or 2) a virus can actually disable the updates ,run a scan with the defenitions you have got or even better...uninstall avg and download a fresh program and re-install it

I've had no problems. Incidentally AVG have recently issued an upgraded programme (it's version 7.5). I've uninstalled my earlier version and installed this version. Seems to be smoother.

Microsoft safe practices needs is the proper, least intrusive safe practices application i have ever used. My pal used to paintings for MS and he swears with the help of it too (having examined any and all contained in the previous, he says that's proper in evaluation). in spite of everything, when you're operating homestead windows then the application from the people who made it may't be to date from the mark i think.

Mine updated fine. You probably just have a slight problem with your intertnet connection today. Just wait until tomorrow and see how it is.
