You know , no offense to you, but I've came home after 4 tours of Iraq. And I am an Iraq Vet. I see BOYS ages 18 - 19 years old being sent over to a war zone alright? They are right out of HS trying to make a BETTER life for themselves than what they grew up in. Or maybe they just want to serve their country. They go over there with GUTS man. Where's your guts? If you sit in front of your computer screen and can write this, why don't you TRY and go over there for a week, see if you can survive.

Soldiers are proud to have served their country. I know I am. I know my friends are. I know my guys are. Yes there are horrible things over there. I have a friend who is 29 years old. He has a wife and a 3 year old son. THREE years old. He came home from Iraq, and he's been in a hospital for almost two years now. Doesn't mean he's a Tim McVeigh buddy. It just means he gave his ALL for HIS COUNTRY. Which by the way is YOUR Country as well. He Tries every day. EVERY day to get better. And you don't see him complaining. You don't see him up and down whining that his country is against him. No. So unless you've served, you have no right to say that.

Just for your 411.

Well Chas. Rangel wants to start the draft again, (this is not the first time he's brought it to a vote, but this time the republicans can't and have no incentive to stop him) which means increasing the army tenfold or more, then the economy will tank after they figure out no one knows how to pay for all the buying, building new military bases and equipping and training, so on one hand the vets will have opportunities as training/basic services/constriuction while it lasts, but without having foreign capital to plunder (we still havn't got a penny out of Iraq oil despite what propagandists are saying) you can not maintain such a huge army, which is the situation that broke the USSR, and that China and North Korea are facing now, so all the extra money they print will cause inflation, just as happened to the USSR. So they may have housing but need a wheelbarrow full of money for a loaf of bread, just as happened in the USSR. On the brightside everyone gets a uniform to wear. Tim McVeigh went over to the otherside while in Iraq, and Terry Nichols was meeting with the bad guys funded by Bin Laden in the Phillipines, that's the rest of that story we didn't hear at the time. They just associated with the domestic crackpots to throw off suspicion of foreign ties, trying to target implicate the Michigan millitia has deep political implications of what McVeigh was trying to do.

Poorly worded question.
I think the point you are trying to make is that this country has a history of treating war vets as "disposable goods". The support they deserve is not yet been a thought for our current government..and it should be. Our vets deserve all the support they need not just by the community but by the federal government.
Let us all vow that we take up their fight and demand that our vets get all the financial and medical help they need and deserve. Supporting their survival while at war is just not enough.

no rely if or no longer they are vets are no longer in all hazard is merely no longer the defining factor of no rely if or no longer they are going to be homeless. We as a rustic could be ashamed that with the quantity of wealth we've, we can not homestead each and every physique. although, I notice the contempt on your posting and would't help yet think of you realize no longer something of our protection rigidity men and have in no way served. enormously close??

Based on USA history of war vet's treatment after returning from previous wars, this is a fair and valid question.

To answer the question, I've actually had similar thoughts, worries about these ppl coming home after having killed so many ppl.

Well, I dont know about Iraqi War Vets, but, if the Demorats keep insisting on bringing our Troops home before their mission is secure, you're gonna have someone on American soil, and I dont think you're gonna like it!!

Whats the matter? Upset because employers feel that veterans make better employees and you realize that you are stuck working at McDonald's until you grow up?
