I think it was the martian manhunter because he has red eyes and can fly. It can't be Darkseid because he wouldn't have saved Clark (unless he wanted clark for himself).

Oh my gosh, I agree with you. Wouldn't it be cool if you see a live Green Lantern movie? I bet Warner Bros and DC comics are thinking about that. They want to make sure that if there going to make a film about their characters, it will click with the public. Don't worry, there are lots of Vertigo films in production like Y! The Last Man, a Constantine sequel? and more. I'm looking forward on Superman Returns and the new Wonder Woman next year. Don't worry and lose hope as DC and WB are making things happen. P.S. Watchmen too will be a great movie or should they have it as an HBO series???

I think that's small villes version of martian man hunter aka j'onn. he's supposed to show up befor the episoid justice starts. show caseing the heroes from the justice league that have shown up. I hope this answers your question.
