If she is a true friend and hopefully knows that you also admired him/her, she should be able to have a civilized discussion about the situation as well as be able to take a back seat since is interest is elsewhere. Just don't let him play both of you!

If she is your best friend then you shouldn't have a probleming telling her that her crush ask you out. Also, you know how she feels about him. So you shouldn't talk to anyone that she likes and have feelings for, if you are a true friend. Even if she says that you can go out with him because she really dont mean it.

Well if she is your bestfriend then she might understand then again she might freak out on you. First of all you have a responsiblity to your best friend to tell her as soon as possible. Don't start hanging out with this guy and then tell her. You two are friends and you owe her the courtsey to at least inform her that the guy is not interested in her at this point and time. You have an advantage here you know how she feels about this guy. Please be smart about your next move. Don't lose a freind over a guy.

I don't think that's a subject ever brought up. by going out with this guy you might really hurt your Friend. Since your best friend loves you she'll probably tell you to go for it but it will hurt her. she could dwell on it for a long time. but then again if it's just a small crush she'll get over it.

Just like that. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it's better than not saying anything and letting her find out. Because that's the point at which she assumes you had something to hide. You don't (i hope). If he digs you and not her, it's not something you can do anything about (it's his choice). Just make sure you are very nice about it and just gently let her know. Just imagine you are on the recieving end, and how you would like it told to you. If she really is your best friend, she'll be understanding about this and not accusatory.

*Ouch*
Try to anticipate how she would react. Would you guys still be friends? How good of friends are you? Is it worth it? Do you really like her crush, or are you just flattered that he likes you?
Dating is fun, but it hardly ever works out in the long run. So keep that in mind too.

I think you are going to have to decide which friend you want. Personally I think I would go for the best friend.

I wouldn't jeopardize the friendship to go out with the guy. You will meet plenty of guys but good friends are hard to find.

that's why it's not cool to be friends with your friends friend. You're so wrong, tell her so that she could slapp your face, a boy will tear your friendship apart? You are trifling, you know she likes him. Don't do that there are too many dudes on this planet don't be a scandalous desperate tramp

the best way to do this is to be honest. if you are going to lose your best friend than i would not get with this guy. she may be cool with it but i think she is going to be hurt either way. it is a test of your friendship. it will test how much you like her and how much she likes you. Good luck
