the noise won't, but working in a noisy atmosphere can cause you stress, which can possibly cause harm to the baby. Err on the side of caution and get a transfer of you can

No, noise and loud music, etc have no effect on the baby. The noise might make the baby move a lot more during the day, or it could be opposite and put baby to sleep. My daughter would always start moving to loud music and my friend's always went to sleep. If you are in an environment with fumes, standing all day or heavy lifting though, I would address that. GOOD LUCK!

How loud of an atmosphere? Like, rock concert or just busy with people yelling...I would think that if you are uncomfortable with the noise and have to wear ear protection, your baby may be hurting as well. Just go with your instincts.

I am supposed to qualify annually on weapons. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not allowed to go to the firing range. I'm sure that the reason for this includes hearing loss in infants exposed to this type of noise.
I would just assume that noise that is safe to your unprotected ears is safe for baby. however, if you have to wear earplugs, it might be too loud for baby.
We don't really know this yet.

Check with your OB what decibel levels are safe. I was at dirt track racing my entire pregnancy and was fine. Those cars have no mufflers and are LOUD!! Of course, he was only 6 months old and already knew what sound toy cars made!!

I can't see how. Nature has tucked that infant in to a pretty safe envirement. Warm & the constant lullaby it hears is your heartbeat. Pretty neat ah! No wonder they protest so much when the are forced to leave that spot. Good Luck

I've heard about babies being affected by what they hear in the womb. It's probably possible. I would try calling up a doctor if you want a more complete answer.
