Does anyone else have this problem? RIght after sex, if you stand it leaks out or even if you wait about 20 minutes it still leaks. What can we do? We have been trying to have children for a long time but we get nothing.

Don't panic, not all the sperm are going to remain inside you. Try putting a pillow under your butt after sex to keep your hips elevated for at least 20 minutes. The longer you can lay down after wards, the better. It might be better to have sex just before bed so you don't get up.

I always suggest making an appointment with your OBGYN when ttc to make sure everything is okay. Best of luck.

I asked my dr the same question when we were trying to have our 2nd. I didn't seem to have this problem before I had my 1st baby. My Dr said that the leaking isn't a problem, that there are so many sperm that have already had a chance to make their way up, the sperm that come out shouldn't be an issue. Also, even though it seems like a lot, all the sperm isn't coming out, some is left. Hope that helps!

Not all of it leaks out, but one way to ensure that as much semen as possible stays in you is to lay on your back with your legs and bottom elevated on a pillow or even place your legs over your head to ensure that as much semen as possible can swim to where its supposed to go. There are millions and millons of sperm in each ejaculation, so whatever little leaks out after twenty minutes or so really doesn't matter at all. After twenty minutes, whatever leaks out weren't good swimmers anyway. Good luck to you!

IT always happens...there are a million or so sperm...so some leaking out has nothing to do with whether or not you can get pregnant. If its been more than a year...go to the Dr and get tested.

No it doesn't. Leakage happens to everyone. Sperm get to where they need to be in a matter of minutes - what's leaking out are the dead guys, the slow swimmers, and extra seminal fluid. :) If it makes you feel better, prop your hips up on a pillow for about 20 minutes to give the sperm a little extra help...but you will still have leakage.

Just because some leaks out there is plenty to go around.

if semen leaks u can still get pregnant. If you have been trying to become pregnant over a year and your under 35 you and yor mate should go to the doctor.

First, semen will not coagulate and stick to your insides after time. It's made up of the little swimmers, but also sticky fluid. If you are trying to have kids, I'd read up on methods for enhancing timing (e.g. are you ovulating, removing caffeine, boxers/briefs). lots of online sites for that.

That happens to me know that I had my child 9 months ago.
I just have been doing my kegel exercises to strengthen the muscle down there. Hopefully that will help.
I have heard somewhere that you can stand on your head and that will help with the process. :)
