You're 12 years old, listen to you mother. Acting will always be around. If you got an acting job you cannot sign the contract because you are a minor. Your mother would have to sign the contract. Wait until your 18 to audition and act.

take it from me acting is a hard and tough buisness.its filled with tons of rejection and can not be taken in to lightly .you first have to work hard to show your mom that your good and that you can really make it .then she'll feel better about using her time and money on this. if you continue to act shell realize its you calling or life dream and she put her full faith in you.

i hope your mom will support you peace out and good luck

You have to show her that this is your passion and that you're happy doing it she should be happy for you. Tell her that you thought that if you were happy she would b happy for you and that even though she doesn't like it at first she has to learn that your happiness is all tha counts you're her daughter and if your mother loves you she will respect your opinions.
