When you need to know, go straight to the government. Its free, and several sites that search names for you aren't free and they do the same thing. Why they make you pay when you can get it for free from the government, I don't know.

Depends on what state you live in. Some states keep an online data file for the public to search. Other states do not release that information. (These data bases will give you information about those living in your neighborhood.)

Other sites allow you to search state sexual offense convictions for a fee. Some states do not furnish there information to even these folks without written authorization from the person being searched and in some cases finger print verification.

Search for your state's department of corrections on yahoo or google, when you find it there should be a link on there to search through their criminal database. Sexual predators should be listed with their current address.
