Do you have to have Nightlife installed in order to shop and go places(Sims 2)?

I tried installing it but it made the game performance a lot slower.

When I tried to put in a driveway it wouldn't work Especially for example for Hollywood Estate house you can download online. Nowhere you can put the driveway. Or does it only work downtown?

Yes, you have to have NightLife installed to go shopping in the DownTown area and visit all the other neat places.

With the driveway thing, I don't think you can really put one downtown...but you have to make sure it's enough space for the driveway to go down. Make sure it's not cutting into part of the house, that could be a reason it's not going down...or if you built an inside garage, make sure you put the garage door first, I think.

If you have a pre-existing house, I've found that I cannot put a driveway in. The only way I could make a driveway is if i put it in first before I built a house.

So I'd say that if you downloaded a house without a driveway, chances are you can't out it in.
