I have used these in the past when my daughter was younger to help with gas, never spitting up. Perhaps changing your childs formula may help the problem as well. I have heard people say that mylicon was worthless to them. I have never known it to help with spitting up personally, but if thats what your doc told you you might as well try it. There are generic versions you can get at wal mart or wal greens or probably any other drug store for cheaper. Also, look for coupons online.

Depends on the child...it worked for my child but not for my cousins...I think you should take the child to the pediatrician and see what he/she says...they would know better than we would...they specialize in those kinds of things...and push come to shove if you don't want to wait for a call back or appointment you can always talk to the pharmacist at the local drug store...they should know too. You may also want to check on the formula you use..or if you are breast feeding you may need to change your diet...talk to the doctor about that too.

Honestly I haven't noticed much of a difference in my son. He is three months old and has had painful gas. I got them hoping they would help, but haven't seemed to much. I guess it depends on how much gas your baby has. If it isn't too bad, they may work better then they did for my son. Also, the dropper is hard to measure with, don't know if it would hurt them to give them to much, but that always made me nervous.

They won't help the headache you have from all the crying, but they will definately help the gas that started the crying. A couple of drops right after a bottle will even head it off.

This is a great product. I only used it when needed. But a friend of mine had a baby that had problems and she was told by the doctor to use it at every feeding. So it must be good, and a great baby shower gift.

Yes, they really helped with my son, since birth. I had no idea what they were until I got them at my baby shower. But my son is now 13 months - we don't have to use the drops as much, but yes, they still help him.

Sometimes. I have them on hand, and used them when my son was a newborn, but most of the time I don't think it did much good.
