Some (myself included) would love him, some would hate him, and he would be impeached for lying about sex with an intern.

"Current America" would accept a "poor" President if he or she was well educated, had shown a history of public service, and was well spoken.
Of course, folks like that are not generally poor. And, "poor" is subject to each person's personal definition.

If you mean poor President as in money poor then they wouldnt except it. Presidents should be rich and know how to do businees because they are dealing with Billions of dollars. So the more busness back ground the better.

With a universal and resounding cry of "W. T. F.?" A poor President wouldn't be able to finance his campaign, and couldn't get elected. There is a strong correlation between size of your advertising fund and the odds of you becoming the Prez. Besides, a poor person would upset the status quo by advocating for the little guy as opposed to merely doing everything to please businesses. It would be totally different. Besides, a man who was poor by circumstance probably lacks the experience. A person who was poor by choice? Perhaps, but such people don't exist.

How poor, on welfare poor. It would never happen, it's all fixed and you all are fools for thinking it will be any other way.
Read what they do in other countries, mad scientists on the loose in the name of saving America by using pop control when they are done there think it won't be turned inward in their own country?
Ha.
Henry Kissinger's quotes say it all dude.
Americans are the most racists society ever bred, thanks to the Eurotrash influence.
Hm, wonder where I learned that?

Clinton grew up poor, but got rich from hard work. He was rich when he ran for president though.

Better check the amount of $'s Clinton had when he ran for Prez. As I recall at the time, the governor of Arkansas only was paid 35K per year...... Oops, my bad! His wife had a knack for turning $1000 into $100,000 over night, not to mention the money made in the Whitewater deal and the Mena operation.

No doubt.
Unfortunately, given the costs of campaigning and advertising, America will probably never get the chance.
