Thank you to those that've responded, I appreciate your help very much. However, after reading some of the answers, I want to add a few comments. Please try to answer my question and not sway me into getting a desktop or a MAC. First, I can't carry my desktop around. Second, I own a PC desktop and do not want to switch over to a MAC because I can't afford to spend money on two sets of SW. That You.

Yes, any laptop with the Core 2 Duo T7200 and 2GB of memory will be a very good machine.

The 7900 GS will not affect the programs you use to design the graphics, but it will affect your testing of any 3D renderings that you do. But if you're talking 2D stuff, then the 7900 is a waste of money.

To be honest though, if you really want the best for graphics design, you need to get a Mac. Apple's software and hardware are both optimized for that sort of thing. They're made for graphic designers by graphic designers.

Edit - In that case then definitely go with the E1705. If you do 3d graphics design then get the GeForce 7900, if not then don't worry about it.

I'm not sure I understand why you'd want to perform Graphic Design work on a relatively small laptop monitor.

Wouldn't a desk top PC, with a nice 19, 20, or larger flat panel monitor make that type of work much easier?

Hi,
I shop a lot and I always use cheapest prices search engine for all they offer. Almost every regular store and online merchants is listed there, lots of consumer reviews and a lot of other ways to save time and money.
I hope I helped you and good luck to you.
