I wouldn't say that I resent them, but that I definitely envy them. I'm a young woman and want to have a baby so bad, but I feel that I can't because I don't have the resources to do so. There's nothing wrong with being "young and all together." And jealousy is not always a bad thing, all it means, is that they want something that you have. I wouldn't let that comment bring you down, rather I'd take it as a compliment.

I can't believe someone would have the nerve to say such a thing. I can tell you I am jealous of you, and that is a compliment. To resent someone for doing a great job is absurd, she has no manners and you should just let it go in one ear and out the other. If she says it again, I would just say thank you, I try.
Keep up the good work young momma!!

Sadly in this world someone will always be jealous/resent others for what they have or can do etc.
You just need to learn to not let it affect you - recognise there are more important things in life (such as a beautiful baby) to focus on instead of the negative attitude of others.
Don't let others get you down - be proud of your accomplishments within yourself - all the negative stuff is just background noise and not worth your time energy or thoughts.

My daughter had a child at the age of 18 and I am so proud of her for continuing her education and working full time and being a single mom. Anyone that wouldn't respect a young woman trying to juggle all of that has never had to struggle with life. You go girl and continue the good work. Don't let the bad days get you down cause you will have a few.

I had my son at 18 and went to college, graduated in four years, worked, took care of an apt., my son's father and I got married and we have a home etc etc. I would say I'm a good, successful young parent along with my husband and I've never heard anyone say that to me! I'm sorry someone actually told you that because it's bull. I don't understand why they would resent you for that but well, they sound kind of messed up for feeling that way. Good for you for doing it and doing it well! Forget what she thinks!

I was young when i had my first and i finished school and on to college with a job and now a wonderful husband. I dont resent people who come out pregnant and get it together. At least they have a good head on their shoulders to get it right.

Kudos to you for being so responsible. I don't know why that lady is hatin' on you, maybe she's jealous. But awesome job for doing what's right and buckling down. I bet you're a great mom!

Don't listen to any of the negativity that people bring onto you. She's just upset because you didn't follow the stereotype of what she expected. That was very mean of her to say.
