Select color and resolution. If this does not work, look for manual adjustment controls on your monitor. You may need to reinstall or update your video drivers for your chassis/video card. You can download 'Belarc Advisor', which will tell you which video card/chassis and monitor you have, then you can go to the applicable sites and download needed drivers.

Click anywhere on your desktop, click properties, then settings. You can make adjustments there.
