Well, keep in mind that all babies are different. The average age when they begin to crawl is between 7 & 9 months. But, some babies don't crawl at all. Some skip it and go from sitting around to walking.

personally think 6 months a bit too early. My first started at 9 months as did my second. My last started when he was 10 months. It depends how they are cared for, do you carry a lot and on the child. All children are different and some are more forward than others. Use your own initiative, you know your child and don't be worrying about milestones. If they are a happy healthy child, they will do it when they are ready. Some babies don't crawl, you get the sniper or bum shuffles, some even just get up and walk. Enjoy your child, after all as soon as they start crawling they stop being babies and start being toddlers. You loose your tiny baby so don't wish it away. Good luck and enjoy

It depends....my little girl didn't do the full fledged crawl until she was almost 9 months and just did an army crawl starting at 6 months. She started pulling herself up at 10 months and then walked at 11 months. Every baby is different.

I was 10 months before I could crawl, and 16 months old when I first walked, of course each child is different.
Interestingly there are two different types of crawl, the 'diagonal' and the 'left arm left leg right arm right leg' crawl.
Neither are an indication of eventual intelligence or ability.

My eldest daughter crawled at 5 months but my son is 11 months & has only just started shuffling on his bum, my other daughter was crawling at 7 months. All babies differ, I don't think my son will crawl, he'll skip it & go straight to walking!

My niece is 7 months previous, she substitute into born one million month early so they say we could continuously bypass with how previous she could be if she substitute into born while she substitute into meant to be while watching milestones (so 6 months milestones precise now). She isn't crawling. She in basic terms began rolling around like a month or month and a nil.5 in the past so she in basic terms rolls everywhere. She is attempting to crawl yet she in basic terms can not get it down yet. LoL as quickly as I labored at a daycare/preschool we had a sprint boy that fluctuate into very very nearly 10 months previous formerly he began crawling and the medical doctors pronounced that fluctuate into effective, he substitute into in basic terms being lazy. LoL do not hassle approximately it, he will crawl while he's waiting!!! :)
