Go to college, take journalism classes, and work on the school's newspaper. Use that experience to get an internship at a "real" newspaper.

The best way in the 2000's for a TV sports journalist is if your a good looking woman in your late twenties or early thirties. No previous experience with sports required, though is helpful, since they will train you on everything you need to know. Good ability to "conduct" yourself in public situations highly desired.
