You need to find somewhere else to shop! I'm not very tall either and often need shorter length trousers but where I shop, they sell short, standard and long length all at the same price!

Most trousers are a standard size. Because you need clothes to fit you, a custom-made outfit will cost you more.

The same reason why I can't find an affordable bra in my size. If something is not sold as well as something else, then that is a waste of money and time for the person making and selling it, so they have to charge more to make up for lost time.

Often its a case of that the company is going out of their way to supply these garments. Its a case, because its especially done for you, you will have to pay a little extra for the privilege of having it.

Rule of fashion: the less fabric used, the more it costs. The price of bikinis and skimpy lycra dresses does not equate to the price of a coat!

It's because of your height.I don't think there are many people who are under 5ft tall,so the demand for clothing of those sizes are limited, and if the demand isn't there, then they push up the prices until there is.

Because the majority of the sizes they make are not that small.

I know what you mean. You are the same height as my mom and she has such a hard time finding clothes.
