Obviously it's better to buy a new cartridge, since that will be guaranteed to work right. However, I usually refill my cartridges 2-3 times before I throw them out and buy new ones. Any more than that and the really don't work right.

Refilling will sometimes make your printer 'blot' ink more, and as the copper contacts on the cartridge wear out, it may not print as intended. Buying a new cartridge gives you new contacts and a new print head, so you won't have those problems. However, it's a lot cheaper to refill.

I have tried a number of home refill kits, and none of them worked. Bite the bullet and find your cartridge on the internet - go for the lowest price you can find.

well depends on the cost of getting a replacement, since u can by compitable cartridges for half the print of a branded 1, they do the exact same quality of print.

Better to buy new, or refurbed, some of the inks are low quality, and will clog you up

To refill is cheaper but can be messy if not done properly
