It is definitely okay to have a baby before you own a house. As long as you can provide a roof over it's head...pay the rent, buy groceries, pay the bills etc...that's what matters.
It may make it a little longer before you own a house, but there is nothing wrong with it.

Yes. That's what we did... start out small, and work your way up. My parents rented a house for 13 years until they actually bought a house... then they bought an even bigger house after that because my mom had another baby making it 3 children... but they were able to do it- as the years went on, my parents got higher up in their jobs, allowing them to be able to afford their own home.
Also- if you wait until you fully own the house- because many have loans to help pay for the house... that would take quite a while! Unless you have the money to pay for it all up front.
I say as long as you have enough space for your children, and can afford to keep the roof over all of your heads, then it's definitely okay.

Why not? There are some very good reasons to not own a home. For instance, people in the military often do not own homes as they move too much, but they often have children. Some people are still planning on moving due to a career or something, and they have kids. If you can afford to feed a child, and have the time and love for him/her, those are the most important things.

Sure! That is what we are doing! We have a 2 bedroom apartment, and when my lease is up in a year, we will get a house. My husbands credit is less than perfect and we waited a little too long before we started looking. Just ran out of time I guess. When the baby gets old enough, I want her to have a yard to play in, but for the first year she really won't be running around much anyway.

the better question would be, "am I prepared to have this child?" if you have ample room, and can find a way to pay your bills in addition to providing for the child, then it doesn't matter where you live so long as they have a roof over their head. If you can't provide for the child like your suppose to, then you need to really think about why your having the child. and don't mis understand me, I'm not saying have an abortion or anything, but if you can't care for your baby then you need to find a family, related to you or not, that can. And the next time, think twice before you let your harmones make the choices for you.

Yes, it is deff okay to have a baby before you own a house. I have 2 daughters and one on the way and we dont own a house. As, long as you can support your child everything will be great.. Don't listen to these no-sence people.
Best of luck to you!!!

Totally! There is no reason why you should have to own a house before you have a baby. Life changes so much when you have a child.. You may find the house you are in isnt right for you and it is much harder to move when you own your house..

Yes, I am having our second child and we do not own a house yet. The one's we could afford without a down payment are not what we would want, so we are saving for a down payment and waiting. We wanted children when we were younger (I am 21 hubby is 26) and so we are having them! We do just fine in our apartment!!

Sure buying a house is not a pre-requisite for having a child.

I had my son when we lived in an apartment and we bought a house 2 years later.

Yes. You can give your love to your child in an apartment, but a house is even better, the child will have a yard to play in and not run through an apartment..which can really stress you out. My hubby and I had kids before house and we needed more space for the kids to pay. If you want a chold real bad..then have one because you never know what can happen to you. Good Luck and Love:)
