I love this kind of hard rock and am looking for some new music
I'm thinking of getting some KISS
because they are ranked in the Top 15 of VH1's greatest hard rock artists of all time
I want to know whether I will like them
Please tell me!

Kiss is okay. It could just be the quality of the cd I have but it doesn't sound that good. They do have a great song called Hard Luck Woman. Its more of an easy going song but it is really good. I love the guitar so that it what catches me about most of these bands. I don't know exactly what you are looking for but I love 70's rock. I love Van Halen, with David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar. Eddie Van Halen (guitarist) is amazing! I also love AC/DC, Journey, 38 Special, Bad Company, Aerosmith, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Blue Oyster Cult, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac (its not really hard rock but Lindsey Buckingham is an amazing guitarist), try Big Love, Rhiannon, and Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, Heart, Hendrix, Lynrd Skynrd, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Santana, The Who. My dad loves Journey and told me the drummer (don't know his name) studied drums in college and says he is amazing. You might like KISS, but you should also check out 80's rock. None of that pop crap but rock like Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, and I can't think of anything else.

Try Peter Frampton Comes Alive. Dire Straits first. Tom Petty- Damn the Torpedos, Gin Blossoms- New Miserable Experience, Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon, Rolling Stones-Some Girls , the Kiss-Alive is ok but to me the studio stuff sucked. Bad Company-Bad Company or Running With the Pack are both killer.

i think of which you will savor Lynyrd Skynyrd. they are Southern rock, not precisely the comparable variety of rock that Led Zep, Rainbow or Deep pink are, yet surprising none the less. i could propose "one greater From the line" with the aid of LS. quite some solid stuff on that album.

You would probably have to listen to them. Go with the classic stuff...Try stuff from before Vinnie Vincent joined the band. Unfortunately, I can't think of any of the names of their old records. ALIVE II is pretty good.

us rawk from the '70's is realy different to uk rawk,
they're probably better bands to get into stateside for a taster that kiss, they were very good at selling themselves.
If I name a band someone else will say they're shite and go for their reccomendation, try Montrose, they rawked the nation!!
