why is it when anyone is reversing they almost allways and without knowing turn off the radio?

I turn the radio (or whatever) off whenever I'm doing anything that requires more than the usual amount of concentration.
It's more likely to be when I'm driving in an unfamiliar city, in heavy traffic, in bad weather, in poor lighting.
It's not usually when I'm reversing because I reverse carefully and slowly.

I don't turn the radio down or off- but I do tell anyone else in the car with me to 'just shut up a minute, can't you see I'm trying to reverse??'...

for concentration, reversing is more difficult than driving forward.
