It depends what you feed them ;o)

Be patient, loving parents and start potty training the 2 year old. Get him/her used to the toilet and always use positive encouragement. Its funny, but making a doodie is like a party in our house. My 2 year old tells us when she needs to go and sometimes does it on her own. We still have to help with teh wiping of course. If you can start making them at least a little independant it will be a lilttle piece of mind for you and save you a little money in diapers.

Congratulations on your new arrival

When we just had my oldest we were able to afford the Pampers. My youngest "K" was born when "A" was only 2 1/2...he wasn't potty trained until 3 1/2. We couldn't afford Pampers than so we switched to the brand at Walmart that has the yellow duck on it (can't remember brand). It was a great product. If you can afford it why not?? Now I have one in underwear ("A" is now 6) and one in White Cloud Pull-ups ("K" now 3).

The outcome is really expensive shopping bills. Seriously, get Luvs. They're still a Pampers product. And that couple of bucks cheaper, makes a HUGE difference when you add it all up after a few months. Really, the White Cloud diapers aren't that awful either. Not that great, but its better than nothing.

I did it and it is fun fun fun. Okay it wasn't at first. My son was 25 months when his little brother was born. My almost 4 yr old now is still in diapers because he wants to be a baby like his 22mnth old brother. So we have had two in diapers for almost two years.
I look at it this way, they are only small once and years later I will look back and barely remember these days. So I just try to cherish every moment now because it will and is going by so fast.
Good Luck, you will be just fine.

Well just look at this way .. you might dish out alot of cash on diapers now .. but with the kids so close together when there both potty trained .. you'll be done in a few years so no more diapers :)

I'm about to find out. My daughter will only be 15mos by the time we have this one!! It will generally cost more because you'll be buying twice as many diapers. The older one shouldn't be going through as many diapers.
sounds like a good time to try potty training? My daughter will be young, but given the situation, I'm willing to try as soon as possible.
Good luck.

My two oldest are 14 months apart in age...and not that they are teenagers....I don't even remember what 2 in diapers was like.....you'll get through it, and probably never think twice about it! Won't be long and the oldest one will be ready for potty training....Enjoy them....don't let it stress you out! It'll all work out just fine......Congrats! Best wishes to you!!

I'm not sure how you would handle it, but id be on top of the world.
I cant wait for my parents to find a birth mother, so we can adopt again.I'm only 13 but could raise a baby easily. We had a foster baby but he went back to his mother.from the time we had him I got up every time he woke-up and fixed his bottle with my mom.and still got up and went up to school.I'd love having a toddler and a newborn in the house.
