What can I do to help him...I tried an old indian remedy by blowing smoke in there and then put vicks in his ear with a cotton ball...Now he thinks I'm a witch...will this work? I just did it with absolute knowledge and don't know where I got it from...it was like second nature...

What you did was an old folk remedy- it will ease the pain, but not cure it. If the ear still hurts, a doctor needs to see it.
Ear candling is NOT a recommended practice, because if it done wrong, you can burn the inside of the ear, possibly including the ear drum. And done by a trained professional it is very expensive.

If he has an earache , go to the dr's and get a antibodic and a pain killer, but in the mean time try a wet very very hot washcloth, the heat draws out the pain, I have cronic ear aches ,so i know this works, well it does for me anyhow.

Take him to a doctor and get this problem properly diagnosed and treated. The only thing you should put in your ear is your elbow.
