You certainly have the right to vote and if you can't make it to your polling place due to rehab, there are absentee ballots or early voting options you can take depending on your circumstances. You're still entitled to your rights as a citizen even though you may be incapacitated at the moment.

It is ur civil right to be able to vote even in absentee. Ur rehab counselor should be able to help u get an absentee ballot for u to submit. Or a family member could help but the rehab should be helping u make that a part of ur rights while under their care.

yes they should be able to vote. but people who are in rehabs due to drugs shouldn;t vote because they may not be in the right state. people with EDs have mental problems, but they are more with self image than with reality and would be able to vote the way they would if they were healthy.
the only issue with this is there are some ppl with EDs who hate people who are bigger and until they are taught not to be prejudiced (espeacially when big to them is adverage size or a few pounds over weight) it may effect how they make descisions. they could vote solely on how the person looks and regret it later when they realize it's how a person thinks not how they look that matter.

Anyone in the hospital, out of the town on election day can vote by absentee ballot. In Ohio, anyone regardless of the reason can vote absentee. Just call or write your local Board of Elections for an absentee voting application. The ballot comes in the mail then.

Yes, I think all citizens of age should be able to vote. If you were in rehab you could get an absentee ballot.

Only by being convicted of a felony and having you civil rights taken away for the duration of the sentence. Otherwise, you can vote and it would be illegal to prevent you from doing so.
PS You can also be declared incompetent and have civil rights suspended. I do not think that would apply here.

My help of Obama change into about his classes mixed with the actual undeniable actuality that i detect him to be honest and achievable. Had Gov. Palin made an same speeches and trotted out an same classes i might want to nonetheless have not got here across her achievable; there is purely something slick and smarmy about her that makes me instinctively no longer believe her. thoughts you, I truly have little question that race and gender performed a function for most voters, yet i don't think of it change into as massive a function as many would assume.

They have to let you vote. You can sue the hospital for that. Even when hospitalized, if physically able, you are allowed to leave the building (with or without a chaperone), and vote.

yes, of course they do, why not? It's not as though people with mental disorders (ie. eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia) aren't all capable of placing a vote. It's your democratic rights we're talking about here!

I think that they won't let you vote because they think that you have a mental illness and you might not know all the facts and will base your vote on something stupid like which candidate is skinnier. I think it is stupid not to let you vote if you are eligible and not really have a reall mental illness where you can't think or talk.
