I live in Africa and cannot find products to make household plants shine. Any recipes?.?

I use to work in a hospital and there were people that worked for a company that came in several times a week and serviced the plants and one lady told me that if you don't have the plant spray used to make them shine you can use mayonaise. True!

For larger leafed plants, my Mother and my Grandmother always used a little tiny dab of mayonaise on a soft cloth, and always after wiping off dust. Their plants were magnifico!!
