Like stated before, Limewire is the best peer to peer and the second best is Bear Share (www.bearshare.com).

Be careful though. Each program has it's price...not money, but they download other junk programs such as SAVE (pop up generator) and open a portal for hackers. BEWARE!

After a computer crash, .99 on iTunes doesn't look so bad.

Honestly, why would you even ask that here?

Anyhow, use a radio website. Pandora.com is amazing, and Last.fm is even better. It also helps you find new artists that are similar to ones that you already know and love.

Otherwise, there's all those crappy programs that everyone already knows about: Limewire, Kazaa, Bearshare, etc etc. If you don't mind how you treat your computer (if will get FULL of spyware, and Norton Anti-Virus won't help you with everything), then go for it.

singingfish.com allows you to search for songs to download. if you're into fresh artists, purevolume.com has some downloads depending on the artists. but singingfish is the best. oh, and radioblogclub.com has lots of songs to listen to, but not for download.
