No, my brother and I make the same amount of money. Although my grandfather did give him fifty dollars when he was born and me only five (he was born in the 1800s, so I forgive him).

Yes, because men are still paid more than women in the same occupation with the same education. When this will end for eternity....I don't know. It's gotten much better, but the disparity is still there. Another sad, but true, statement about our society and it's values.
