Why can't you call the court and ask for a continuance?
You don't have to miss, you can reschedule.

i dont live where you are but your best bet is to call the court house and ask them or save your money and pay for public transportation to get you there. Either way I would do your best not to miss the court date
if you don't drive how do you get to work?

You better take a bus... If you don't show they will issue a bench warrant and you will have to pay cout costs a well. Plus you run the risk of having unrealistic $ for support.

My brother didn't show up for his child support hearing, so his ex wife won and was awarded the highest amount of child support allowed by Georgia law. I guess they think if you don't show up you aren't in disagreement with the other persons demands or requests.

You can be arrested, maybe. I'd find someone to drive you (pay someone?), or take a bus, taxi, but get there. Otherwise, you look like a bad parent and you may lose visitation rights, too.
