I'm just so in love with my sweet husband today. I'd love to hear what makes others' relationships fulfilling. What character traits are endearing to you? What gets you through the bad times? Why have you stayed together?
Thanks!

This may sound silly, but my husband can make me laugh in the toughest of times. It may sound like he's being insensitive but he's not. For example, they found a lump in my breast and I had an appointment for a mamogram. When I told my husband how scared and nervous I was he responded with, "If they have to cut off both breasts then we can just get one real big one put in the middle, then take pictures, people would pay to see that:" Sounds corny, but it made me laugh and at that moment a laugh was really needed. I think it's also his way of dealing with things as well. I love my husband so much and I would be lost with out him. He is my best friend and we can talk about anything with each other! Communication and Honesty goes along way in our marriage! When things have been bad, we just didn't give up! We agreed that we're in this thing for the long haul, good and bad!

LOLOL after 36 years, I still think the thing I love most about my husband is also the same thing that I find the most irritating. I only have to say casually, something like: Hmm. I think the next thing I want to do in the yard is put in a new flower bed over there down the side of that storage building. I could be talking about something I want to do next Spring. Husband disappears and I haven't seen him for an hour, so I go outside to see where he is, and he's got a wheelbarrow and a ton of tools and has been digging up a storm. Golleeee, by the time next Spring comes around I could easily have changed my mind and decided I want that flower bed somewhere else.
Nowadays, I have learned to be verrrry careful about thinking out loud, or next time I see him, something I was just casually talking about doing - sometime, perhaps, MAYBE, he's gone and done it. He sure has wasted a whole lot of time and trouble over the years, and he never learns LOL.
Why have we stayed together? Hahaha, I can't think of one good reason to swap him, and he's spoilt rotten. One year on our wedding anniversary, he sent me a card. On the outside of the card it read "I love you, I love you, I'll never let you go". Open the card up and on the inside it read "YOU KNOW TOO MUCH"

No matter what, he can and will always make me smile even when I don't want to. I love him more and more each day we are together.

We get through the rough times, because we have a great line of communication.

We have stayed together, because we really do care very deeply for one another. I can't imagine my life without him. He is one of the best things that has happened to me.

He is there when i truly need him. When i am feeling bad he is there to comfort me. The bad times happen of course but what helps is that we do love eachother so much they just seem like bumps in the road we have to get over. We have stayed together because its all about how much we cant live without eachother.

I love his smile. I love the way he smells. I love the fact he makes me feel safe. I look forward to him holding me. I am so grateful he is so strong when I am weak! I love him for supporting me in every thing I do. And I am so happy that I have him to love me back just as much.(even when we are going thorough hell)

I love my husbands commitment to God. He tries very hard to please God and love me the way he should. He is a good man. I could not have done any better. I thank God for bringing us together.
